Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school; or high school diploma or equivalent, and minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and computer skills required
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience is required.
• Experience in welding and machining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter work orders into the appropriate computer systems, monitor required work, and keep track of parts in stock.
• Carry out expert upkeep and repairs on a variety of mechanical and physical structures, working from sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
• Determine the priority for the planned equipment shutdown by performing preventative routine maintenance, executing diagnostics, replacing parts, and testing equipment operations.
• Examine procedures for their relevance and evaluate the suitability of engineering equipment.
• Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential problems and participate in process improvement efforts to identify inefficiencies and design flaws.
• Collaborate with other team members as necessary to resolve problems and determine the root cause; recommend improvements and make mechanical adjustments.
• Manage and collaborate with vendors and contractors to monitor and enhance output while maintaining plant safety.
• Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements; inform management of unusual issues and material needs.
• Keep the work area clean and organized following safety protocols and equipment operating instructions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
