Job summary

Titan America is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance team in Roanoke, VA. This exempt role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on preventive/predictive maintenance, RCA, and reliability improvements to reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong knowledge of rotating equipment, lubrication, and reading P&IDs, plus CMMS experience (SAP/Maximo/Infor).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, lubrication, bearings, alignment, and vibration basics.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
• Experience with RCA, FMEA, 5-Why.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.
• Diagnose failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain CMMS records and plan shutdowns/turnarounds.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all maintenance activities.
