Job summary

Titan America in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance team. You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment, and support reliability improvements.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, strong analytical skills, and experience reading P&IDs and drawings. This is an on-site role with safety-focused culture and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, lubrication, bearings and alignment.
• Experience with P&IDs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with RCA, FMEA, and 5-Why problem-solving tools.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, Infor) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Develop maintenance procedures and update CMMS records.
• Support planning of shutdowns and coordinate mechanical activities.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all maintenance tasks.
