Job summary
Majestic Steel USA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair forklifts, production machinery, and related equipment at our Fontana, CA service center. The role emphasizes preventing downtime through proactive maintenance and quick troubleshooting of diesel and propane-powered systems.
You will read manuals and schematics, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Hands-on mechanical experience maintaining forklifts and other heavy equipment.
- Experience on diesel and propane-powered equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to support forklift and industrial production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair forklifts and material-handling equipment.
- Repair production machinery and related systems to reduce downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, fuel, cooling, and powertrain issues.
- Use manuals, schematics, and diagrams to identify problems and perform repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance: fluids, lubrication, filters, belts, hoses, batteries.
- Respond to breakdowns and support production teams during outages.
- Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs for records.
- Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
