Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Reliability Engineering Intern to join the Reliability Engineering team in Costa Mesa, CA. The role involves hands-on work across systems, hardware, and software engineering to drive reliability improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

You will gain experience with FMEA, predictive analytics, test planning, and data-driven failure analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet mission requirements and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Must be returning to school after the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to export-controlled information and facility access.
• Ability to participate in an in-person co-op at a US office in winter 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support review of system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy against requirements.
• Proactively identify product risks and drive root cause analysis & corrective actions.
• Support FMEA activities and collaborate with other teams to implement reliability improvements.
• Support predictive reliability analysis to calculate failure rates and MTBF metrics using MIL-HDBK-217 Plus.
• Support development of Maintainability prediction models using MIL-HDBK-472.
• Develop R&D and Qualification Test plans to ensure appropriate requirements coverage.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to ensure inspection and acceptance test gates are in place.
• Perform Weibull analysis from qualification campaigns and fielded assets.
• Use data analysis to highlight problems and drive corrective actions to closure.
