Job summary

Central San is offering a six-month Reliability Engineering Internship in Martinez. The 40-hour will run Monday through Friday, onsite, within the Plant Maintenance Division.

You will work with licensed engineers on projects to improve operational efficiency and evaluate processes or equipment while ensuring compliance with permits. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical or related engineering disciplines, with strong knowledge of thermodynamics,

Qualifications

• Coursework in thermodynamics, heat transfer, hydraulics, chemistry.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and controls is helpful.
• Ability to organize work, learn packaged software, and write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering projects to improve plant efficiency and performance.
• Analyze process and energy data; assist with emission testing and sampling.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contractors; work with plant operators.
