Job summary

Delek US Holdings invites applications for a Reliability Engineering Intern. The role supports refinery initiatives with a strong emphasis on mechanical integrity, inspections, and field work. You will gain experience documenting findings, tracking projects, and contributing to training initiatives.

Field duties include exposure to moving parts and heights; PPE will be provided. The position develops skills in safety, root-cause analysis, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week.
• Basic knowledge of industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with SDS and safety protocols in a mechanical environment.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to record and present data clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Desire for continual learning and self-development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by following safety rules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment; determine root cause and take corrective action.
• Participate in investigations, design, and analysis of equipment performance.
• Develop, select, and test equipment and components; evaluate best technology.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineers on problem solving.
• Oversee equipment such as mechanical and instrumentation; update P&IDs and specs.
• Plan, design, and write process equipment specifications.
• Work independently and in cross-functional teams to improve performance.
• Create and prepare reports and documents.
• Handle all other duties as assigned.
