Delek US Holdings is offering a Mechanical Engineer Intern position in Tyler, TX. The role focuses on supporting refinery initiatives with a strong emphasis on mechanical integrity and inspection, including field work and documentation of findings.

Interns will learn to track and justify projects, develop sound training experiences, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Junior or Senior).
• Minimum GPA 3.00.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week and O.T. as needed.
• Familiarity with SDS and safety protocols in a mechanical environment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong data recording and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly working environment by following safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment and determine root cause and resolve failures.
• Participate in technical investigations and design/analysis of equipment performance.
• Develop, select, and test equipment/components for best-in-class systems.
• Collaborate with operations and fellow engineers on problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Oversee equipment such as mechanical and instrumentation to update specs and P&ID’s.
• Plan, design, and write specifications for process equipment.
• Work independently and in cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance.
• Create and prepare reports and documents.
• All other duties as assigned.
