Job summary

Delek US Holdings is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support refinery initiatives with emphasis on design, optimization and operation of complex chemical processes, with field work involved.

Role includes field duties, safety protocols, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to track and justify projects, creating sound training experiences for future engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Chemical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.00 or higher.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
• Basic knowledge of industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with SDS and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly working environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and determine root cause and take corrective action.
• Participate in technical investigations and design/analysis of equipment performance.
• Develop, select, and test equipment to evaluate best-in-class systems.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance on problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Oversee equipment such as mechanical/instrumentation to generate critical lists and update P&ID’s.
• Plan, design, and write specifications for process equipment.
• Work independently and in cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance.
• Create and prepare reports and documents.
• Process simulation and monitoring & control.
