Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer to own reliability across Falcon/Starship valve and component builds. You will work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams on ground-up processes, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvements in a hands-on environment on the factory floor and in the lab.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, cross-functional collaboration, and driving reliability while maintaining production pace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 1+ years in a manufacturing, quality, or design engineering role.
• Experience or exposure to aerospace components and build processes.
• Strong collaboration and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing, integration, assembly, welding, NDE, and cleanliness processes from the ground up.
• Identify reliability gaps and implement improvements without slowing build rate.
• Create quality plans for flight hardware with key characteristics and prototype testing.
• Monitor product/process performance during ramp-up using quality tools.
• Lead build quality reviews and reduce design and process complexity.
