Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer for the Anaheim plant, focusing on improving asset reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and strengthening maintenance execution across production and utilities equipment used in the manufacture of composite materials.

The role blends hands-on maintenance engineering with reliability leadership, including RCA, RCm thinking, and preventive/predictive maintenance optimization, with on-call support on 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
3–7+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering in a manufacturing setting (composites preferred).
Proven ability applying reliability tools (RCA, bad actors, action tracking).
SAP CMMS proficiency for PM, history, and spare parts data.
Strong knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance principles and MTBF/MTTR concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability improvement efforts for chronic equipment issues using data-driven analysis and structured problem solving.
Perform RCA for equipment failures and implement corrective actions with verification.
Develop and implement reliability action plans to reduce failures and maintenance costs.
Coordinate shutdowns/major outages planning and execution with cross-functional teams.
Provide technical troubleshooting support for mechanical, electrical, and control systems; support equipment including mixers, ovens, utilities systems, prepreg equipment, etc.
