Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Reliability Engineer for the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The role focuses on developing maintenance strategies to reduce costs and increase asset uptime, while training teams to eliminate waste.

Responsibilities include leading RCA activities, reliability standard development, spare parts management, and continuous improvement with client and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related scientific field with three years of related experience.
• Knowledge of best-in-class maintenance practices and predictive maintenance activities.
• Strong written, verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Security clearance eligibility; US citizenship required for restricted area access.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Reliability Programs for the KPLSS II contract.
• Identifies issues via RCA and leads corrective actions.
• Supports spare parts management and critical spares generation.
• Leads continuous improvement and communicates wins and barriers to client and Amentum.
• Plans shutdowns, turnarounds, and plant outages; develops predictive maintenance strategies.
• Performs risk-based asset management and drives reliability improvements.
• Supports special projects and metrics development.
