Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a Reliability Engineer to improve plant reliability and lead predictive maintenance across the site. The role involves analyzing downtime, driving cross-functional repairs, and developing budget-supported improvement projects.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years in an Industrial Environment.
• Preferable cement process knowledge.
• Proficiencies in Predictive and Preventative Maintenance.
• Candidate should have a strong maintenance background with an emphasis on improving reliability.
• Must have good facilitation skills, take objectives views, a high level of problem solving skills, good organizational skills and able to manage projects from conception to completion.
• Strong computer skills with a background in CAD would be preferable.
• Ability to communicate in an effective manner with all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to estimate, budget, and interact with contractors and vendors while keeping projects within cost parameters.

Responsibilities

• Review reliability, productivity, and downtime reports to identify repeat problems and drive cross-functional solutions.
• Develop and implement vibration analysis predictive maintenance program incl. alignment and balance.
• Provide input to plant capital budget for successful project completion.
• Support Operating groups and Maintenance Department in problem solving and improvement efforts.
• Obtain funds for improvement projects from maintenance or capital budgets.
• Input to Maintenance Manager for annual maintenance budget.
• May act in a supervisory role within the plant.
• On-call rotating mechanical support for plant issues.
• Be a role model in leadership, teamwork, safety and environmental stewardship.
