Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support a manufacturing facility with a focus on planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement of maintenance work controls. The role emphasizes coordinating labor, parts, tools, and documentation while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work as part of a team to develop job plans, define resources, and engage appropriate engineering and operations personnel to optimize plant reliability and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of Facility Planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Upholds safety, health, and environmental procedures; communicates directly; supports EHS policies.
• Acts as the principal liaison between the maintenance department and operation planning.
• Maximizes resources by identifying parts, materials, special tools, and services for planning and scheduling.
• Receives and reviews planned work orders for proper information and completeness.
• Develops full scope and extent of work, including cost and time for maintenance activities.
• Prepares job plans with sequencing of tasks and materials.
• Performs root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Maintains CMMS and backlog, coordinates with site leadership for resource optimization.
• Develops and adheres to priority of work tasks.
• Creates critical spares lists and procurement sources to reduce lead times.
