Job summary

DuPont seeks a Reliability Engineer for the Healthcare Industries Materials Site (HIMS) in Hemlock, Michigan. The role leads the site's reliability strategy, collaborates with operations, maintenance and other engineers, and guides capital projects for asset performance.

The position requires a engineering degree and 3+ years in manufacturing, with strong data-driven analysis, root cause capability and a track record in cross-functional teams. Travel to other sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Ability to communicate well in cross-functional settings with operators, mechanics and engineers.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues using data-driven analysis.
• Experience with capital and/or improvement projects as a manufacturing representative.
• Experience with management of change in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of preventative-predictive maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration, thermography).

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability strategy and provide technical support for plant operations.
• Perform root cause and failure analyses for equipment upsets and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in maintenance turnarounds, inspections, and repair procedure definition.
• Support capital projects; specify equipment criteria and oversee installation and startup.
• Develop asset plans using Reliability Centered Maintenance and other methods.
• Analyze trends and data to justify improvements for lowest life cycle cost.
• Lead or review MC changes and ensure safety and design best practices.
• Engage in process safety reviews and risk assessments
• Promote machine safety and safe work practices across the site.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
