Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Towson, MD, seeks a Reliability Engineer III to support new product development from a reliability perspective. Hybrid role—3 days on site in Towson—you will lead analyses, craft test plans, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure safe, robust power tools.

You should have a Mechanical or related degree and 3+ years in reliability/quality engineering, with FRACAS, RCA, data analysis (Python/SQL), risk assessment, and product safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of reliability/quality engineering, testing, or failure analysis, preferably in NPD.
• Experience with FRACAS, RCA, reliability testing, risk assessment, and warranty analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support NPD projects from a reliability perspective, including failure analysis and warranty modeling.
• Work with multiple teams and customers across development stages.
• Establish and maintain test plans, status reports, and FRACAS documentation.
• Analyze data streams to aid design decisions and risk assessments.
• Lead safety reviews to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Collaborate with compliance teams for product approvals (KEMA, TUV, UL, CSA).
• Represent the Voice of the Customer in quality-related development activities.
