Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Reliability Engineer II at our Brookfield, WI Corporate & Global Design Headquarters. The role supports New Product Development with strong cross-functional collaboration across Marketing and Engineering to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions.

Responsibilities include leading design changes for reliability, CTQ identification, and development of robust test plans. Travel up to 10% is required; a strong background in statistics and DOE is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent field.
• 2-5 years in reliability/quality or statistical engineering.
• Experience with NPD processes emphasizing testing design, QA, reliability.
• Experience with DOE, life data analysis, and related statistical tools.
• Knowledge of Minitab/Reliasoft; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10% (domestic/international).
• ASQ CRE or DFSS/Six Sigma experience and Python are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development efforts for reliability-focused designs and changes, ensuring CTQ alignment and warranty considerations.
• Isolate and identify critical-to-quality user needs for mechanical/electrical design features and component interactions.
• Track multiple projects to ensure schedules and Milwaukee Tool processes are met.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering on reliability testing and validation activities.
• Develop test plans and procedures to meet customer requirements and ensure robust testing.
• Analyze data and present conclusions using statistical techniques; drive root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
