Job summary

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline seeks a Reliability Engineer II to lead enterprise analytics for the natural gas compression fleet. You will analyze data, optimize design, and support testing and commissioning of controls and HMI software.

The role requires collaboration with project teams and cross-functional partners to improve reliability and asset performance. The position emphasizes technical leadership, data-driven decision making, and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in pipeline operations, maintenance, and/or construction practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with data analytics and reliability concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to determine feasibility of design and application.
• Perform optimizations, troubleshooting, and feasibility studies.
• Support the testing and commissioning of controls, software, and HMI graphics.
• Communicate with project teams to outline work plans and estimates.
• Coordinate goals and resources with collaborating teams and monitor performance.
• Serve as technical leader for enterprise analytics system and report asset metrics.
• Provide guidance to technical, operations, and IT personnel for safety and reliability.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
