Job summary

MACOM is seeking an EEE Components Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components across data center, telecom, and defense applications. You will evaluate parts, analyze failures, and develop strategies to prevent issues, collaborating with suppliers and design teams to maximize long‑term performance.

The role requires a mechanical, electrical, materials, or aerospace engineering background with 2+ years in reliability engineering, CRE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, materials, or aerospace engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in reliability engineering, semiconductor physics, or related fields.
• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or similar certifications may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing EEE components for reliability and suitability based on application requirements.
• Investigate root causes of component failures and implement corrective actions.
• Use statistical and probabilistic methods to predict reliability of components and systems.
• Conduct accelerated life tests to simulate operating conditions and assess durability.
• Collaborate with design teams to incorporate reliability considerations into the design process.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of components.
• Communicate reliability findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
