Job summary

Ahlstrom-5 is seeking a Reliability Engineer Co-op for Fall 2027 at our Stevens Point, Wisconsin plant. The role supports the Maintenance Team to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost goals for a paper machine process line.

The position offers hands-on experience in an engaged, team-focused environment, with opportunities to develop skills and prepare for a future full-time engineering role within the organization.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Reliability, Mechanical Engineering, or similar Engineering degree program.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects.
• Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups.
• Learn and provide technical support to process engineers and coordinators with Proficy, Centerlining, Optivision and Aspentech software systems.
• Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions.
• Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability.
• Provide technical support for key departments.
• Provide problem solving and analytical skills.
