Job summary

Bedrock Robotics is seeking a Reliability Engineer to own hardware reliability for next‑gen autonomous construction machines. You will define reliability programs across compute, sensors, power, and supporting subsystems, leading DFMEA/FTA and building predictive models for field performance.

Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to translate reliability goals into design decisions, test plans, and process improvements for real-world, harsh operating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hardware reliability engineering for vehicles/industrial equipment.
• Proven DFMEA and FTA leadership with reliability modeling and testing.
• Experience with reliability tools and data analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Define and own hardware reliability strategy, budgets, and targets for autonomy hardware.
• Plan and facilitate DFMEAs across subsystems; identify failure modes and causes.
• Build and maintain fault trees for safety- and availability-critical functions.
• Develop reliability block diagrams and life-data analyses to forecast field performance.
• Define HALT/HASS, ALT, vibration, dust, and thermal tests and margins.
• Lead root-cause investigations (8D, 5-Whys) and implement corrective actions.
• Embed reliability into design reviews, dealing with derating and margin.
• Collaborate with supply chain and vendors on component reliability acceptance.
• Create data pipelines from warranty/field data; apply statistical methods.
• Partner with cross-functional teams during bring-up, validation, and deployment.
• Maintain reliability documentation and standards across programs.
