Job summary

Bedrock Robotics is seeking a talented Functional Safety Engineer to define the safety concept across the system with a hardware focus. You will work with safety, hardware, and software teams to drive hardware safety requirements, diagnostics, and end-to-end safety lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a BS/advanced degree in engineering, 7+ years in safety-critical hardware, and hands-on hardware experience with ISO standards. Strong experience in fault analysis and safety testing is required.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, systems engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in safety-critical hardware or systems engineering with functional safety focus.
• Hands-on hardware experience and familiarity with ISO safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Define the functional safety concept for the system and HW platforms.
• Author HW safety concepts and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with HW team to translate requirements for future platforms.
• Establish test plans for verification and validation of safety requirements.
• Define test infrastructure and automation to support program goals.
• Perform safety analyses such as HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA.
