Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Sayreville, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support plant equipment, improve process efficiency, and uphold site safety. You will supervise projects from design through installation and train operations staff.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, ability to read prints, and leadership of project teams. CMC offers Day 1 benefits, PTO, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safety.
• Provide technical assistance in maintenance, reliability engineering, and related areas.
• Perform root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis.
• Experience with manufacturing or industrial-scale capital projects.
• Track and report maintenance KPIs month to month (delay %, PM compliance, cost).
• Research new operational support technologies and industry trends.
• Update plant and maintenance equipment records and processes.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safety
• Provide technical assistance in the scope of engineering, preventative and predictive maintenance, and other facets of reliability engineering
• Perform root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis
• Experience with manufacturing or industrial-scale capital projects.
• Track and report maintenance KPI's month to month such as delay percent, preventive maintenance compliance and cost
• Research new operational support technologies, tools, techniques and industry trends that may impact the organization
• Update existing plant and maintenance equipment records and processes

What You'll Need

• Practical knowledge of mechanical applications, electrical applications, and common industrial processes
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
• Ability to lead a project from design through installation and start up, including associated operational and maintenance training
• Team building and supervisory skills leading project teams and comfortable with supervising technical and non-technical personnel

Your Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in a technical field OR 10 years of Industrial Maintenance/Engineering work experience
