Job description

The company are the world's leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems since 1906, they are looking for a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join their team at their Franklin Park, IL headquarters. This role is central to how they design, test, and validate the durability of the water-efficient products used in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings worldwide — from flush valves to electronic faucets.

You'll report directly to the Reliability Manager and own the reliability strategy for new and existing products: designing tests, analyzing failure data, and driving root-cause investigations that keep our products performing for the long haul. You'll also play a key role in supporting our ISO/IAPMO lab certification efforts.

If you enjoy solving hard technical problems, working hands-on with test data, and having a direct hand in product quality that ships at scale, this is a great next step.

What You'll Do
  • Design and run accelerated life tests to evaluate product durability while staying within safe operating limits
  • Build and maintain Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes for new and existing product lines
  • Plan and execute tests that identify potential production and safety risks before they become field issues
  • Lead root-cause investigations on asset and product failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Support ISO/IAPMO certification efforts across our reliability testing labs
  • Partner cross-functionally with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate failure data into actionable improvements
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related reliability discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and data analysis tools
  • Advanced experience with engineering applications and enterprise reporting tools
  • Strong organizational skills — able to plan, prioritize, and manage both individual and team workloads
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information
Nice to Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ISO certification experience (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or similar)
  • Basic plumbing systems knowledge
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage — Medical, dental, and vision from day one of the month following hire
  • 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting
  • Generous Time Off — paid holidays, PTO, sick leave, parental and military leave
  • Tuition Reimbursement and ongoing professional development
  • Wellness & EAP Programs, plus optional life, critical illness, and pet insurance
