Job summary

Ferroworks LLC is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Pittsburgh, PA to develop and manage detailed maintenance plans ensuring equipment reliability and uptime. You will coordinate preventive and corrective activities with maintenance, operations, and engineering to minimize production disruptions.

Responsibilities include planning work orders, maintaining CMMS data, and supporting parts procurement while tracking performance metrics and safety compliance across sites in Pittsburgh and McKees Rocks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering.
• Proficiency in CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2) is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance processes and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed preventive and corrective maintenance plans using CMMS.
• Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to verify job scope, priority, and timing.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure planned work aligns with production schedules.
• Analyze equipment history and performance data to identify trends and forecast needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, labor hours, parts usage, and downtime.
• Monitor backlog of work orders and ensure timely completion and closure.
• Assist in developing job plans, standard work instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Support procurement of necessary parts, tools, and materials with purchasing.
• Generate regular reports on maintenance performance, planning efficiency, and reliability metrics.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.
