Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support a reliability-based maintenance strategy in our poultry plant. You will plan, schedule, and track preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.

Collaborating with Maintenance Director and plant teams, you will manage PM work orders, generate weekly schedules, create requisitions, and prepare reports while continuously improving maintenance processes and performance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, preferably in poultry or food manufacturing.
• Experience using a CMMS to maintain records, schedule maintenance, and generate reports.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to adapt priorities in a fast-paced plant environment.
• Pass drug, alcohol and background screening; legal eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate equipment records and CMMS data.
• Set up and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Determine cost-effective maintenance approaches based on criticality.
• Generate PM work orders for next 14-28 days.
• Plan corrective work to maximize crew utilization and reduce downtime.
• Review work requests and create clear work orders with labor, parts, timing.
• Create purchase requisitions and submit for review.
• Calculate available crew hours and develop weekly schedules.
• Lead weekly maintenance scheduling meetings with multiple departments.
• Prepare weekly scorecards and maintenance reports.
• Track equipment downtime weekly.
• Assist Maintenance Director and leadership with additional tasks.
