Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) invites motivated students to join our Summer Internship in Junior Reliability & Asset Management Engineering at the North Brunswick, NJ facility. The program covers reliability engineering basics, asset management best practices, and data-driven maintenance within a large life science site.

Approximately 90% of work will be in the field, tagging assets, collecting data, auditing records, and updating databases.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or an associate's degree with relevant technical certifications.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems (HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, fire safety).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to conduct field inspections; valid driver's license may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Asset tagging across the facility portfolio with standardized labels and documenting asset locations.
• Collect and verify asset attributes (manufacturer, model, serial numbers, nameplate specs, capacity).
• Audit and update asset records in CMMS systems and resolve data gaps or duplicates.
• Monitor building systems performance data to identify reliability trends and maintenance improvements.
• Develop field data collection templates and maintain accurate records for asset management standards.
