Position Summary

The selected candidate will work with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, suppliers, and contractors to improve equipment performance, strengthen preventive maintenance programs, and support practical reliability improvements across local sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply reliability tools and structured problem-solving methods to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and optimize maintenance costs.
  • Support development and improvement of critical equipment lists, equipment strategies, preventive maintenance plans, and spare parts strategies.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations and help implement corrective actions for recurring or high-impact equipment issues.
  • Provide reliability and maintenance input for capital projects, equipment specifications, design reviews, installation, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Work with maintenance planners, technicians, operations, and engineering teams to improve work execution, troubleshooting, job plans, and CMMS data quality.
  • Monitor equipment performance, review work order history and reliability data, and recommend improvements based on trends and failure patterns.
  • Assist with predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programs such as vibration, lubrication, infrared, ultrasonic, and other reliability technologies.
  • Actively support EH&S policies, procedures, safe work practices, machine safety, and applicable engineering standards.

This role supports urgent plant needs, continuous improvement efforts, and hands‑on development of reliability and maintenance capability through local site engagement.

Required Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Candidates should typically have 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, plant technical support, or related industrial operations.
  • Basic understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, troubleshooting methods, and mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with reliability tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, preventive maintenance optimization, or reliability‑centered maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn CMMS systems such as SAP-PM, MaintainX, or similar maintenance platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technicians, engineers, operations personnel, suppliers, and leadership.
  • Must be willing to work in the Wilmington/Newark, DE area, with occasional travel as business needs require.
