Cyient in Everett, WA, is seeking an R&M engineer focused on design for reliability and safety for airplane systems. You will validate and verify reliability requirements, allocate requirements to suppliers, and conduct failure modes, effects, propagation and detection analyses, architecture provisions, and safety and certification support.
Collaborate with propulsion or airplane systems teams, program leaders, and cross-functional design groups to solve problems and manage certification
Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing).
Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer.
Required Skills:
Experience with propulsion or airplane systems.
Reliability engineering experience.
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience.
Commercial Airplane Certification experience.
