Everforth Apex Systems in Chicago, IL is seeking a Release Train Engineer to drive planning, coordination, and execution of release activities across global delivery teams. The role emphasizes cloud infrastructure provisioning, containerized deployments, and robust deployment automation.

You will work with development, architecture, security, and operations to ensure repeatable, secure release processes and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline is preferred.
• Hands-on engineering experience in cloud infrastructure provisioning, containerization, and release management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, dependency management, and stakeholder communications to improve delivery predictability.
• Execute production releases, validate service health after deployment, and maintain rollback procedures and release runbooks.
• Configure and operate database instances, including container creation, index maintenance, resource allocation, and data copying.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, artifact management, and environment promotion.
• Configure containerized deployments, services, ingress, health probes, and environment-specific application settings.
• Configure secure API connectivity, load balancing, and private endpoints, and integration with API management solutions.
• Implement least-privilege access, managed identities, RBAC, and secure secrets management.
• Integrate automated tests, container image scanning, security checks, and approval gates into deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot failed deployments, networking issues, authentication challenges, and API performance problems.
