Location: Locals to Sacramento, CA only

Role: Release Manager (App/Dev)

Preferred: PDM Talent Model, Local to Sacramento, On-Site Required (3-4 Days/wk with Project Start & Transition Phase). Note: Other California/West Coast practitioners may be considered if skillset is met.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain the release schedule for all applications and development projects.
2. Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth release processes.
3. Plan and manage release activities, including scope, timelines, and resources.
4. Ensure all release-related documentation is complete and up-to-date.
5. Oversee the deployment of applications and updates to production environments.
6. Ensure all pre-release testing and validation activities are completed successfully.
7. Manage the execution of release plans, including rollback procedures if necessary.
8. Monitor the progress of releases and address any issues that arise during deployment.
9. Act as the primary point of contact for all release-related communications.
10. Facilitate communication between development, QA, operations, and other relevant teams.
11. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status, risks, and issues.
12. Ensure alignment between release activities and business objectives.
13. Identify and mitigate risks associated with application releases.
14. Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the release process.
15. Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
16. Maintain a repository of release-related issues and resolutions for future reference.
17. Continuously evaluate and improve release management processes and tools.
18. Implement automation solutions to streamline release activities and reduce manual effort.
