Job summary

MISO is seeking a Release Engineer II to drive automation across the software development lifecycle. You’ll manage CI/CD pipelines, enable AI-native practices, and secure delivery while improving developer experience across Azure, containers, and IaC tooling.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in CI/CD platforms, strong Python and automation skills, and experience with GitHub Enterprise, Copilot/Claude, and security governance. This role offers a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD production platforms, preferably GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience enabling AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Claude) at enterprise scale with security and governance.
• Proficiency in Python and building automation to reduce manual work.
• Experience integrating security and quality controls into software delivery (secrets management, automated gates).
• Experience with containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman) and cloud platforms (Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Enable AI capabilities across MISO to improve developer experience and enable AI-native practices.
• Implement automated pipelines to build, test, secure, deploy, and release software in partnership with development teams.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code to automate operational work and enable self-service across platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, deployments, environments, and tooling to deliver durable fixes.
• Integrate secure development practices and standardized quality gates into workflows.
