Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. seeks a Release Engineer II to drive automation across CI/CD, security, and AI‑enabled engineering.

You will build and operate platforms, deploy containerized workloads, and partner with teams to improve developer experience and reliability.

Requirements: BS in CS or related field and 3+ years’ experience; salary $122,000–$147,000 USD annually, plus bonus and benefits.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD production platforms (GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions).
Hands-on experience enabling AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) at enterprise scale with security in mind.
Proficiency in Python and automation to reduce manual work.
Experience integrating security controls and automated quality gates into delivery pipelines (NERC CIP or SOC 1 familiarity).
Experience with Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes for containerized workloads.
Experience with Azure and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.

Enable and advance AI capabilities across MISO to enhance developer experience and AI-native practices.
Implement automated, reusable pipelines to build, test, secure, deploy, and release software with a focus on CD/DevSecOps.
Develop software and IaC to automate manual work and enable self-service across platforms.
Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, deployments, environments, and tools to identify root causes and fix them.
Integrate secure development practices and quality gates into workflows with partner teams.
