Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking two Release Engineers for a Houston, TX onsite role on a 12+ month contract. You will deploy and maintain cloud solutions across Azure and AWS, build automated CI/CD pipelines, and govern code transitions from development to production.

The ideal candidate has 4–5+ years in release engineering, AZ-104/AZ-140, and Terraform experience, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Could Migration (AWS to AZURE) experience required.
• 4–5+ years in release engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• AZ-104 Certification and Terraform experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, git workflows, and programming concepts.
• AVD or AZ-140 certification preferred; AWS experience beneficial.
• Excellent customer-facing and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based apps across Azure and AWS.
• Build, automate, and secure CI/CD pipelines with gates.
• Configure and manage cloud resources using IaC (Terraform).
• Lead release engineering tasks and ensure security policy compliance.
• Act as gatekeeper for infrastructure and application lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations for smooth releases.
• Communicate release status, issues, and improvements to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide global cloud architecture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Need resources with focus on infra deployment and certified AZ-104, along with Could Migration (AWS to AZURE)
• Our organization is seeking two Release Engineers to support Azure-based cloud and release engineering activities.
• This role is responsible for the deployment, release, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and services across platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions and ensure smooth transitions of code from development to production.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with security and quality gates.
• Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Lead and execute release engineering tasks for cloud services, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Act as a gatekeeper in the infrastructure and application lifecycle, ensuring code integrity and quality.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth releases.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Must have skills: - Could Migration (AWS to AZURE)
• Experience: 4-5+ years of experience in release engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Technical Skills: AZ 104 Certification and Terraform experience are required.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, git workflows, and programming concepts is necessary.

• Experience with AWS.
