Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a 12+ month contract in the United States (onsite). The role requires hands-on design, deployment, and management of scalable AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on reliability and security. Qualifications

• Must have AWS cloud engineering capabilities with Terraform/CloudFormation and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Hands-on experience building scalable cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda).
• Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments with Ansible; write Python or Shell scripts.
• Configure AWS networking, security, access controls, and IAM policies.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshoot to maintain availability.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Cloud Engineer. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in United States (onsite).

Pay Range: $50 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Note: Candidates must be willing to work onsite from Day 1
• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and Lambda.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment activities.
• Automate infrastructure configuration and application deployments using Ansible.
• Develop Python and Shell scripts to automate cloud operations, deployment, and administrative tasks.
• Configure and manage AWS networking, security, access controls, and IAM policies.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting solutions to maintain system availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve cloud reliability, scalability, security, and deployment efficiency.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: -AWS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Ansible, scripting (Python/Shell), monitoring & logging tools
