Electric Power Systems is seeking a Relay Technician II to perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems with safety as a priority. You will support project execution by testing, troubleshooting, reporting, and communicating with engineers and clients.

Applicants should have hands-on relay experience, be able to read electrical diagrams, and be willing to travel for fieldwork and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing and repairing protective relays in substations.
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams and complex protection logic.
• Willingness to travel, overtime and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay testing with guidance from engineers and senior technicians.
• Execute element, logic, and basic functional testing of protection systems.
• Create detailed test, commissioning and calibration documentation.
• Analyze relay operation, event records, and performance data for issues.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to ensure safe, effective execution.
