Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Team Leader – Relay/SCADA to guide a field team in relay testing, RTU maintenance, wiring construction, and substation readiness. You will ensure efficient scheduling, prepare job packages, and maintain clear communication between field crews, engineering, and management.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and adherence to quality and operational standards, with collaboration across departments to support outages, commissioning, and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Substation Operations and Maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated leadership or coordination experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience leading field technicians.
• Experience scheduling crews.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to validate readiness.
• Serve as primary liaison between technicians and other departments.
• Coordinate outages, commissioning and job dependencies.
• Track completion of work orders and test sheets; manage resources and budgets.
