Job summary

Landus in Iowa is seeking a Relationship Specialist to deliver outstanding customer service to farmer owners. You will be part of a supportive team that ensures customers get the help they need and smooth operation of agronomy and grain activities.

You will manage grain contracts, assist with inventory and invoicing, and maintain CRM records while guiding colleagues on procedures and policies to sustain growth and efficiency at the location.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver's license.
• Able to move/lift up to 50 pounds.
• Associate's degree or two to five years related experience.
• Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and prompt attention to customers.
• Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers.
• Complete grain contracts, inter-company feed orders, and inventory transfers.
• Serve as a resource on operational procedures for scale/receiving area, invoicing, and grain contracts.
• Document and submit sales call information in CRM.
• Assist with inventory control of products offered at the location.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Prepare accurate invoices and ensure correct calculation of products/services.
• Understand Landus credit, sales, and inventory policies.
• Verify sales invoices for accuracy daily.
• Monitor agronomy sales contracts/prepay for accuracy.

The Relationship specialist will provide outstanding customer service and will ensure prompt attention to our farmer owners. You will be a part of a supportive team ensuring customers get the help they need.

What will you do?

• Ensure customer satisfaction by prompt attention assisting or directing customers to the appropriate areas to meet their needs.
• Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.
• Ability to complete grain contracts, inter-company feed orders, and inventory transfers and purchases, if applicable.
• Act as a resource for other employees on operational procedures for scale/receiving area, invoicing, and grain contracts.
• Understand how to document and submit sales call information in CRM (Customer Relationship Management System).Assist with inventory control of products offered at the location.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Prepare accurate/timely invoices; assure equitable calculation of products/services provided.
• Working knowledge of Landus credit, sales, and inventory policies
• Daily verification of sales invoices for accuracy
• Monitor agronomy sales contracts/prepay for accuracy

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds.
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of related experience.
• Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment.
