Job summary

Southern Oregon Wellness is a direct primary care practice in Southern Oregon seeking a compassionate, patient-centered MD or DO to join our growing team. This model emphasizes time with patients, personalized medicine, and long-term relationships over volume.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care across the lifespan, preventive care, health-risk assessments, and coordination with specialists when needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Oregon medical license or eligibility.
• Commitment to preventive medicine and patient education.
• Ability to build long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide preventive care, annual wellness visits, and health-risk assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment and wellness plans.
• Build long-term relationships with patients and families.
• Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic disease using evidence-based approaches.
• Coordinate specialty care when appropriate.
• Participate in practice development and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide whole-person care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
