Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a Family Physician to provide comprehensive primary medical care on-site in Oregon. The role emphasizes prevention, health promotion, and coordinated care across a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires an MD/DO with Family Practice residency and Oregon licensure, plus DEA and BLS. Experience serving underserved populations is preferred; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Travel to other sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (MD/DO) or equivalent from an accredited school of medicine is required.
• Completion of Family Practice Residency with at least two years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Experience working with underserved populations in a community health center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with medical assessments and treatments pertaining to physical and mental health.
• Orders and interprets medical labs and diagnostic imaging for patients.
• Refers patients to appropriate specialists as needed.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatments for assessed medical conditions.
• Performs minor procedures as qualified.
• Provides accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records following Neighborhood Health Center coding standards.
• Displays sensitivity to the populations served.
• Contributes professional medical expertise to other medical and mental health professionals and clinical support staff.
• Provides oversight of support staff with respect to individual patient management.
• Participates in team huddles to review the schedule at the start of the clinic day.
• Participates in process and quality improvement workflows.
• Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Maintains availability during scheduled on-call hours.
• Attends required meetings and in-services, and participates in committees as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
