Job summary

Mazuma Credit Union is hiring a Relationship Builder - Teller in Kansas City, MO. You will be the first point of contact for Members, handling routine transactions while building meaningful relationships and guiding Members to appropriate Advisors for more complex needs.

You will balance cash, assist with deposits and transfers, explain fees, and refer to Advisors as needed, all while maintaining a welcoming, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in customer service, hospitality, finance, or cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an amazing experience to our Members in branch and drive-thru.
• Balance vault cash, drawers, and cash recycling machines.
• Assist Members with daily account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
• Explain account activity and fees to Members.
• Refer members to Advisors for advanced needs.

About the role:

The Relationship Builder - Teller is a unique role at a unique Credit Union. As a front-line representative of the Member experience, you'll help Members with their everyday banking needs while building meaningful relationships that make them feel valued and appreciated.

You’ll confidently address routine transactions, identify opportunities to help Members achieve their financial goals, and connect them with the appropriate Advisor for more complex needs.

What you’ll do as the Relationship Builder – Teller:

• Deliver an amazing experience to our Members, both in branch and drive-thru.
• Balance vault cash, drawers, cash recycling, and cash disbursement machines.
• Assist Members with daily account transactions, including cash and check deposits, cash withdrawals, transfers, bill payments, and bond processing.
• Understand and explain account activity and fees to Members.
• Make necessary product referrals, and refer members to appropriate Advisors for advanced account needs.
• Bring a positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and commitment to creating exceptional Member experiences.
• Embody Mazuma's values through exceptional service, teamwork, and genuine care for our Members.

To be successful as the Relationship Builder – Teller we are looking for someone with:

• 1 year of related experience: customer service, hospitality, finance, or cash handling

Other Skills:

• Well-organized, good mathematical ability
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Accuracy

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

• Minimum of High School Diploma, or equivalen
