As a Relationship Banker (RB), you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Relationship Bankers will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals. Relationship Bankers will be experts in marketing Simmons solutions to our existing customer base and prospects through daily interactions, outbound calling efforts, business visits, networking events, and periodic 'At Work' events. They are expected to achieve and/or exceed their established individual and branch goals. They may also assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. It is expected that Relationship Bankers are professional and positive Simmons Ambassadors while meeting and exceeding our clients' expectations. All Relationship Banker positions will receive the same training on all requisite products, services, needs-based conversations, and other tools necessary to perform the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Share and recommend the bank's full scope of resources with customers, including traditional in-branch services, digital capabilities, and business partner resources.
  2. Meet individual goals through required in-person and outbound calling activities to share solutions based on customer needs.
  3. Assist with opening and closing accounts, including helping customers select appropriate accounts, researching accounts, and complying with BSA and CIP requirements.
  4. Facilitate consumer loan requests by soliciting loan requests, maintaining knowledge of loan policies, and assisting with consumer loan portfolios.
  5. Uncover customer needs and refer to partner teams working with small business, corporate, and institutional clients, as well as mortgage and financial advisors.
  6. Maintain high customer satisfaction by engaging with clients and ensuring an optimal experience.
  7. Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.
  8. Process customer requests and transactions professionally while engaging in genuine conversations to identify needs and recommend solutions.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are the minimum requirements:

Skills

  • Ability to motivate and present information effectively to customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Embrace a team-oriented approach to help customers in a fast-paced banking environment.
  • Coach and lead the branch team according to process and protocol in the absence of an AFCM.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of customer-facing, goal-oriented experience.
  • Must register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and obtain an NMLS license after employment. More information at http://mortgage.nationalwidelicensing.org.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Ability to utilize social media platforms for branding and market knowledge.

Other Qualifications

  • Occasional travel for meetings, training, and support activities, with minimal overnight stays.
  • Ability to support and guide at other banking institutions within the market.
