Job summary

Provident Bank, a long‑standing community bank, is seeking a Personal Banker to establish relationships with customers, understand their financial needs, and provide a positive experience during branch interactions. You will handle transactions, open accounts, cross-sell, and guide clients to suitable products and services.

The role includes sales targets, managing a cash drawer, and assisting the Assistant Branch Manager with daily branch operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months of sales and service experience in a customer facing retail environment.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Professional demeanor and relationship-building with customers and coworkers.
• Strong math and analytical skills; understands safety and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales referrals and cross-selling goals by knowing product features and benefits.
• Promote bank products and refer or resolve customer inquiries.
• Refer customers for commercial products to branch or business partner.
• Exceed customer expectations through active engagement and service.
• Grow a book of business and advance the Bank's Corporate Sales Program.
