Job summary

NBT Bank's Relationship Banker role focuses on delivering high quality customer service and responsive support while handling moderate to complex transactions. You will educate customers, open deposit accounts, and facilitate consumer lending transactions, both in person and by phone.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least one year in banking, and strong communication, math, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in related banking positions preferred.
• Customer service, sales and consumer lending experience preferred.
• Proficient reading, writing, communication, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to identify and analyze situations and/or information using criteria and resolve issues.
• Ability to identify customer needs and opportunities through conversation.
• Team-oriented with time-management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process daily transactions and account servicing with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide consultative service, open deposit accounts, handle lending transactions, and refer to partners.
• Participate in community events and perform branch responsibilities with attention to policy and procedure.
• Assist training and guidance for other employees.
