Job summary

Credit Union 1 is seeking a Relationship Banker to join the Notre Dame/South Bend branch. The role handles deposits, withdrawals, new accounts, loan applications and cross-sells CU1 products with a focus on member service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication and sales skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position is full-time at the South Bend location with standard branch hours.

Responsibilities

• Process teller transactions accurately and balance cash drawer.
• Assist with opening/closing accounts and resolving inquiries or complaints.
• Assist applicants with consumer and mortgage loan applications; explain loan programs.
• Promote CU1’s products and services based on member needs; develop new business.
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals and participate in team referral goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect CU1 operations.

Assertively executes cross selling with members and potential members to increase growth. This position requires accurately handling member requests, such as but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, new account opening, member interviews, and/or any other request from members. Accommodates staffing needs throughout the branch platform as required.**A Typical Day*** Take responsibility and accountability in following all service standards set forth by the credit union; provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.* Performs teller duties: process member transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.* Assists members with opening and closing accounts, and addresses and resolves member problems, inquiries, or complaints.* Assist applicants with consumer and mortgage loan applications and questions. Explain loan programs, options, and requirements. NMLS is required.* Promote the credit union’s products and services based on member needs and identifying opportunities.
