Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 2+ years combined relationship management, lending, commercial underwriting, or small business banking experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Generate new small business relationships for Wintrust Community Banks and Business Bankers through SBA loan programs and treasury management services.
• Create and maintain relationships with community bankers and business bankers within Wintrust Community Banks.
• Evaluate SBA loan requests using loan policies, guidelines and procedures; begin underwriting, eligibility and closing.
• Analyze industries and understand risk associated with those industries.
• Assess risk and suggest appropriate financing structures accordingly.
• Monitor tickler system for borrower reporting, address exceptions promptly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fair lending issues, regulations affecting commercial lending.
• Communicate with and interact with all levels of management and related departments.
