Job summary

Financial Additions is seeking an Assistant Controller for a 2+ month consulting project with a Dallas commercial real estate company. This onsite role requires REIT accounting experience.

Responsibilities include managing REIT, fund-level, and corporate accounting, investor reporting in ILPA format, and supporting audits, tax returns, and monthly closes. Strong Excel and Yardi skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in real estate or private equity accounting.
• REIT accounting experience required; familiarity with Yardi preferred.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage REIT, fund-level, and corporate accounting, including daily activity, capital calls, distributions, and quarterly financial reporting.
• Prepare and/or review investor reporting in ILPA format and support quarterly lender/investor reporting, annual audits, and tax returns.
• Work closely with the CFO on cash analysis, distributions, financial statements, and closing a loan portfolio joint venture.
• Support monthly close processes
• Partner with accounting, asset management, property management, and other teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency; assist with special projects as needed.
