Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a qualified professional to serve as a liaison between the facility, inmates, families, and the community, helping reintegration and access to resources. The role includes facilitating educational groups for the sex offender population.

The candidate will coordinate with community mental health centers and other providers to support discharge planning and ongoing case management within a correctional/mental health setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2 years experience or Bachelor's with 5 years direct service in correctional/mental health setting.
• Familiarity with community resources at local, state, and federal levels is desirable.
• Ability to work with computers and the software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison with community mental health centers, halfway houses, community corrections, state hospitals, and private health care facilities to assist discharge planning for sex offenders program participants.
• Responds to inmate requests regarding linkages to service providers in custody and in the community.
• Provides educational services to current inmates, individually and in groups, regarding community support services.
