Job summary

American Amicable Life Insurance Company of Texas is seeking a Reinsurance Specialist to support reinsurance administration, reporting, billing, and treaty compliance. You will handle monthly premium billings, maintain records, and assist audits while collaborating across internal teams.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment within the United States.

Qualifications

• Has an associate's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Has experience in insurance, accounting, operations, or a related field (preferred).
• Possesses the ability to learn reinsurance concepts and apply them effectively.
• Can manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and submission of monthly reinsurance premium billings.
• Support the preparation, reconciliation, and distribution of reinsurance reports while identifying and escalating discrepancies.
• Maintain reinsurance files, trackers, documentation, and process records to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather required information and support audits, treaty updates, and reporting initiatives.
• Provide backup support for claims-related reinsurance activities, identify process improvement opportunities, and elevate issues as needed.
