Qualifications

• 2 years of claims experience preferred (life claims welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Research and analytical problem solving
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Process and pay life insurance claims by reviewing coverage and gathering required information
• Research beneficiaries, medical records and legal documents to support claim decisions
• Maintain accurate claim files and documentation
• Communicate with policyholders, agents and funeral homes by phone, email or letter
• Process reinsurance claims and monitor tax reporting information
• Assist with overflow work and cross-train with teammates
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies and ethical standards
